When Fitness meets Fashion!

As I mentioned in my previous posts, fitness is a lifestyle that emerged the last years. Fashion on the other hand is something that exists for millions of years now and with the emergence of industrialization, its’ awareness climbed on another level.

But how these two concepts are connected with each other?

Is it bloggers that for once more, they are spreading the word?

Well the answer to both question is yes…and yes!

As fitness slowly emerged as a very common and trendy lifestyle, the fashion industry helped in the creation of this mainstream, rather than outdated sporty clothing style. Even if someone is not a big fan of the fitness world, his/her sporty fashion apparel can still take up a lot of closet space.

But before we go deeper, let’s take the example of Bianca Cheah. She is the founder of one of the most successful fitness apparel blogs, the sporteluxe. She is one of Australia’s most stylish spokespersons when it comes to look for a blog about fitness and fashion. In her blog, there is a wide range of topics she is posting about, for fitness, health, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, even for other successful influencers that exist.

 

 

Having her blog’s success in my mind, I couldn’t help but wonder, is it a Bloggers Vs Celebrities era?

Can a blogger be a celebrity, or is this the new separate category of brand ambassadors?

Huge fashion bloggers, having all this fame around their name, can be considered celebrities but still the distinction between a celebrity and a fashion blogger celebrity is not clear. A fashion blogger has always the sense of closeness. This is not always the case with celebrities. Actually, most of the times, celebrities seem unattainable.

How many times have you seen a celebrity wearing something, and thinking that you can’t have it while seeing a blogger wearing it makes you think it’s easier to buy it? Even if you can’t have it at least you think you can have it. Consumers seek for experience that comes from ordinary people who guide their decisions when it comes to purchase something.

Being fit and being a fashion icon probably can take you to the top 5 list of most successful brand ambassadors. You see, having a healthy lifestyle while combined with the most up to date sport outfits, can even lead you to be the spokesperson of Nike!

According to the study of Nielsen in 2011, 62% of social media active users consider consumer reviews, very online important before they purchase a product. Social media is a continuously updateable platform in which consumers use it in order to express their loyalty towards their favorite brands and products. Being a blogger and a brand ambassador automatically turn you in to a loyal brand consumer who spreads the word.
